1st AmCham Advocacy Conference

The AmCham’s Advocacy Conference first edition was held on Wednesday 20th in Milan. The initiative was focused on the advocacy activities of AmCham Italy and over 140 people, representing institutions, companies, associations and foreign Chambers of Commerce attended the event.

After the welcome remarks of our President Stefano Venturi, the Managing Director Simone Crolla and the Principal Commercial Officer of the US Consulate General in Milan Robert Peaslee, the Presidents of 4 Committees and 8 Working Groups presented their activities with a focus on the goals achieved during the last few months and on their next steps.
Moreover, two more Working Groups, M&A and Productivity, that will be soon officially launched, have been presented at the end of the event.

The initiative stressed the importance of advocacy as an important tool for the relation with institutions and decision makers with the aim to improve competitiveness and the general business climate in Italy and to foster US FDI, considered that, as for the attraction of US FDI, our Country performs less compared to the other main European Countries.
